Following helped me, please note with this your phone will not be jail broken anymore:

1. Check your iOS is 6.1.3 and your base band is 06.15.00. At least this was an issue for me.
2. Download redsn0w from following location and download 6.0.0 ipsw file. http://www.iclarified.com/29764/how-to-jailbreak-your-iphone-4-using-redsn0w-windows-613
3. From redsn0w go to extras and select 6.0 ipsw file.
4. Then go back to Jai Break and select option downgrade baseband. Please unselect all other options.
5. Follow the instructions, if you see an error “exploit” failed then try changing USB port and try holding home button little longer.
6. Let iphone finish the process and restart automatically.
7. Once done you need to restore the latest iOS from Apple through iTune.

same problem with my iPad, been pressing try again for 20 minute intervals while watching TV for two days now, do I really just have to keep going?

Are you kidding me???? I freaking waited to update this last time so I wouldn’t run into this problem. My phone is the only form of communication I have except for my computer. I’ve been trying for over an hour. I’d restore from iTunes even -IF I FREAKING COULD!! It won’t do anything on iTunes except tell me the same as the phone. This is about the last straw with apple. I’ve about had it with their crap. This piece of crap is not worth the anxiety of not having anyone able to get ahold of me or vice versa when I’ve got people who I NEED to be available for. Freaking apple…. If anyone knows of a better way than just pushing the stupid try again for hours – please advise. Otherwise I’m switching to another service and phone brand. This isn’t first problem I’ve had.
